The Longhouse is a beautiful timber frame building boasting a 23' ceiling with exposed beams and hardwood floors. A fireplace that reaches the ceiling with an 8' hearth will warm any event. Overlooking a lake, and nestled in the pines of a 450 acre tree farm and wildlife preserve, The Longhouse is a breathtaking setting for any function. Easily accessible from Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem and less than one mile from Belews Lake, The Longhouse is conveniently located from any direction. The Longhouse is equipped with a large kitchen and seating for up to 175 people inside. Its large wraparound porch overlooking a lake and picnic grounds can turn even the most formal event into a more casual affair. For weddings, The Longhouse also provides dressing rooms for both the bride and groom. It's ideal for any social or business event including training seminars, corporate parties, award dinners, company picnics, class and family reunions, weddings and wedding receptions/rehearsal dinners, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, craft shows, holiday parties, hayrides and more.

The Longhouse is owned by a nonprofit known as Shining Acres Foundation. A portion of all rental fees collected are donated to this nonprofit.
